Editor,
Allow me to pass my gratitude to the National police of Rwanda and Red Cross. They really did a great job of helping people with trauma cases at the National stadium while Rwandans were commemorating the 15th anniversary of the 1994 Tutsi Genocide.
While at the stadium, after every after few minutes, you could hear people screaming, and crying tears of great grief. Others would rise and run amidst people shouting "they have come to kill us.”
Some of these trauma cases are so serious in a way that no one could manage to help the traumatized individuals. It was only the police and Red Cross who could aid the traumatized people. People with trauma had a resting room were they could be counseled and relieved.
People with serious cases were put unto ambulances and taken to hospitals for further counseling and treatment.
The national police and Red Cross did not operate only at the stadium but also in other parts of the country were commemorations were taking place, thank you Police, thank you Red Cross.
