HEAVEN NIKITA IRADUKUNDA, commonly known by her stage name, Nikita Heaven has announced that she is releasing her first debut album, dubbed ‘Mine’ on July 28.

The album will feature different fast-rising artistes such as ET, Paintedblvck, Kimzer, OG2Tone, Kriss Espoir and Getts Kent.

The 22-year-old launched her music career in 2013 while she was in high school at Kigali Christian School.

Nikita Heaven told The New Times that this album will express her feelings in the art of melodies and sounds, as seen in the album’s trailer that she released on July 19.

"The concept behind the whole project is me trying to portray feelings using my perspective. I would also say that it’s a collection of dreams, memories and feelings that I decided to channel into music” she said.

Nikita further explained the inspiration behind her album and why she jumped on different genres on this project.

"The name of the album is ‘Mine’, I didn’t want this project to put me in any box which is why every song on it has a different genre” said Nikita.

"I wanted to create something that people could relate to, if they decided to pay attention to the lyrics. I’m a strong believer of art being in everything we see, hear and feel. Paying attention to everything around me helped me out in the process” she said.

The 9-song album is produced by different producers including Pro Zed that is highly ranked in mastering and producing the best hits.

"This project was produced by Kriss Espoir and Pro Zed. I’ve been working on the album for almost one year and a half. At first, I wasn't aiming for an album, it was more about me experimenting with different songs because it had been a while since I worked on new music” she said.

Besides being a musician, Nikita is an artiste who paints, draws and vlogs as a YouTuber.

Her ‘Mine’ album follows an EP (Extended Play) titled 3 AM which she released last year February 24.

Some of Nikita’s best songs are ‘Keep It Real’ and ‘End of Time.’
