Kepler (men) and Police (women) volleyball clubs were crowned winners of the 2024 Liberation Cup volleyball tournament that concluded at Petit Stade on Sunday night, July 28.

Kepler won the tournament in the men’s category after edging Police 3-1 (25-18,20-25,25-20 and 25-18).

It was all square in the first two sets when Kepler took the opening set 25-18 before Police responded quickly to win the second set 25-20 and pull the game level.

Despite conceding the second set, Kepler looked more aggressive both on services and defense, winning two consecutive sets 25-20 and 25-18 to firmly win the final.

In the women category, Police retained the trophy after beating APR 3-1 in a four-set thriller.

Police took the first two sets 27-25 and 25-18 before APR fought back to claim the third set 25-16. But Police remained in control of the game, taking the last set 25-20 which proved decisive for them to clinch the title.

The 2024 Liberation Cup tournament attracted eight teams including each of men’s and the women’s categories.
