Rwandan femal cyclist Diane Ingabire struggled to make her mark on her debut Olympic Games appearance following an unimpressive performance in the Individual Time Trial event of the Paris 2024 Games on Saturday, July 27, at Pont d’Ién.

Ingabire finished in the 35th place after clocking 48 minutes and 05 seconds.

Australian Grace Brown won the ITT event, clocking 39:38.24. She was followed by Anna Henderson of Great Britain while Chloe Dygert of the United States won bronze medal after finishing in third place.

Ingabire got the qualification to the Paris 2024 Olympics through wildcard.

She will return in action on August 4 where she will be competing in the road race event which will take place at Pont d’Iéna.

Ingabire, 23, currently plies her trade at German club Canyon//SRAM Generation but her training base is in Barcelona, Spain.

She is among eight athletes representing Rwanda at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
