Mukura Victory Sports new signing Agyenim Boateng Mensah is optimistic that his utmost objective is to lead the club to greater heights.
The Ghanaian signed for the Huye-based club on Friday, July 26, putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.
He moved the club after turning down an offer from his former club Dreams FC with whom they reached the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup semifinals. During the continental club football campaign, he scored three goals and provided three assists.
Boateng was also the second top scorer in the Ghana Premier League of the season after netting 14 goals in 19 games.
"Mukura Victory Sports is a great club, I love their philosophy and what they are building. My agent and the club gave me an insight and I felt it is the right place for me,” Boateng told Times Sport.
"My ambition is to bang in the goals and help Mukura get to the top. I know I and my teammates can achieve great things here at Mukura. I am a forward and my main task is to score."
He forward is an all-round attacker who can flourish upfront either attacking role assigned to him considering that he plays either as a number 10 or a number 9. He can also attack from the wings as well.
"That shows my versatility,” he said. "There are many foreign players on the league now and it will be exciting," he added.
Aside Dreams FC, Boateng also featured for Nzema Kotoko where he was the top scorer in Zone 2 with 18 goals before joining Dreams FC in 2020.
