First edition of Summer Rubber Exhibition to be held virtually

AFTER BEING SUSPENDED last year due to Covid-19 pandemic, Summer Rubber exhibition is now back and is set to be held from July 9, till July 16.

In its first edition, the event organized by ARTHICIEN in partnership with other partners.

The show will take place via social media platform on Facebook and Instagram handles of ARTHICIEN, where photos and videos explaining about the products being exhibited will stream live.

"On the last day of the exhibition, there will be time for people to ask questions about what they need to know about the products,” said Thicien Niyigena, the founder of ARTHICIEN.

 "This fashion week will mainly focus on a different collection of sandals for kids and grownups. There is two types of sandals that will be exhibited for both kids and adults which they dubbed ‘Inyenyeri’ and ‘Izuba’ for adults and ‘Akanyenyeri’ and ‘Akazuba’ for kids,” he added.

They will also present a collection of costumes under ‘Save environment’ theme for this edition and we hope to add more products in the future, according to Niyigena.

He emphasized that all products that will be presented in this edition are made of rubber and for costumes, and plastics.

For the clients who will be interested and willing to purchase the items on display will simply send a direct message and delivery will be made in order to facilitate their clients during this pandemic period.

Niyigena noted that organisers value and care a lot about the environment hence the event that encourages recycling all rubber and making different products out of it such as clothes, earrings, necklaces, shoes, and other products.

Organisers added that the event will be a yearly exposition and will be held in different ways (Online or physical) depending on the covid-19 situation in the coming years. 

Niyigena explains that there is no specific agenda on what will be exhibited from day one till the last day for this edition so far and request the people to stay on their social media for more details on the agenda.

Clarifying on what they are expecting in this exhibition he revealed that they expect to boost rubber products and educate people on how they can save the environment through recycling.
