The CMAC plans to shift from manual to electronically trading some time this year. 

This it believes will make the market more efficient, and I agree with that. 

However, might this not be a bit too early to embark on such plans considering that the volumes traded are still very low? Very few companies have floated their shares, so the volume of business may not justify this move. 

Although it is commendable that we are trying to keep abreast with the level within the region, we must appreciate where we are and how far we are from where we want to be.
