Ugandan star comedian and actor Teacher Mpamire will join a long lineup of performers who will entertain Kigalians at the much-anticipated Gen Z Comedy show’s ‘Intsinzi’ edition slated for Thursday, July 25, at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village.

The special comedy show will attract local and regional comedians, serving as an occasion to celebrate president Paul Kagame’s landslide victory after he was re-elected for another five-year term during the general elections that took place on July 15.

Teacher Mpamire, born Herbert Mendo Ssegujja, last performed in Rwanda in 2023 during the Seka Live show organised by Arthur Nation.

"This is not just a celebration but a good time for the Gen Z comedians to be inspired by other comedians who have been in the industry for a while and share experiences,” Merci told The New Times.

A host of household names in the bimonthly comedy concept are also set to entertain comedy enthusiasts. They include Ambasaderi Wabakonsomateri’, ‘ Muhinde’, ‘ Clement Inkirigito’, ‘ Pirate’, ‘ Rumi’, ‘ Dudu’ and ‘Kepa’.

Traditional musician Massamba Intore, who is in preparing for a concert in celebration of his 40-year anniversary in music, will be hosted during the show’s ‘Meet me tonight’ segment.

Entrance fee is Rwf5, 000 regular and Rwf10, 000 VIP. The doors to the venue will be open at 6pm.
