APR women football side is itching to maintain its recent form when they take on La Charte in Muhanga.

Although APR landed default points last weekend against Gakenke, who have ruled themselves out for the remainder of the league, they still trail Aspeg by three points. However, APR captain Alice Niyonsenga is confident that APR will win the league this season.

"We are very confident of defending our title because Aspej still have to play big clubs like AS Kigali, Rayon Sport and us,” she said.

"We (APR) have beaten those two sides so we are hoping Aspej will drop points at some point.”

This weekend, table leaders Aspej play Bugesera in Rwamagana; Musanze host Rayon Sport in Ruhengeri, Inyemera plays Rubavu in Byumba while AS Kigali host Les Lioness in Kicukiro.
