Rayon Sports on Thursday defeated Bugesera FC 3-1 to keep pressure on defending champions and table leaders, APR and AS Kigali.

The Blues registered their first win in the top eight to boost their chances of getting back in the title race.

Bugesera got their first goal in the first half after Clement Niyigena made a bad clearance which ended in his own net. Manasseh Mutatu equalised for the visitors before goals from Gilbert Mugisha sealed the Blues’ win.

Meanwhile, the national football league will be put on hold as Amavubi enter camp on May, 30 to prepare for the upcoming two warm-up matches against Central Africa Republic.
