On Saturday, May 22, U.S-based singer and guitarist Medard Jobert Ngabo, known by his stage name Meddy, tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Mimi Mehfira in a colourful ceremony in Dallas, Texas.

The newlyweds were able to put strict control on the photos or videos of the event which was attended by close friends and family. However, they have since released some photos to the public.

The groom and his groomsmen looked dapper in the Rwandan traditional outfits.

The 31-year-old has been excited since he popped the question to the beautiful Mimi in December 2020, and it was clear that they could not wait to start their lives together.

The colourful ceremony brought together Rwandan celebrities in the U.S and members of the Rwandan and Ethiopian diaspora.  

Mimi looked angelic in the white wedding gown.

The attendees included Miss Rwanda 2009 Grace Bahati, her ex and father of her child, K8 Kavuyo, singers Shaffy, Adrien Misigaro and Emmy as well as actress and poet Malaika Uwamahoro and her husband Chris Kayitenshonga. Here are some of the photos of the beautiful event.
