Determined to become a high-end touristic destination, Rwanda understood quickly that protecting the environment is synonymous with preserving the country’s resources for the future.

Rwanda’s focus on sustainable tourism is in line with Vatel’s strategy. As the first global group teaching Management in Hotel and Tourism, Vatel’s credibility in responsible hospitality has to be founded on concrete actions.

In 2018, Vatel began its support towards sustainable tourism, in particular the preservation of natural parks and endangered species in the country of a thousand hills. Three years later, Vatel has become an essential contributor to the economy and to the educational sector in the country.
