Offensive midfielder Jojea Kwizera continued his fine exploits with a wonderful performance in Rhode Island’s 3-1 victory over Birmingham Legion in the American second tier league.

The Rwanda international has started five games in a row for Rhode Island from which they have not lost a single match, picking 13 points out of a possible 15.

Elsewhere, Samuel Gueulette captained Raal La Louviere to a 3-0 preseason friendly win over Dender.

United States

Jojea Kwizera saw 84 minutes of action before making way for Collin Smith as his club Rhode Island FC hammered Birmingham Legion 3-1 in the USL. Rhode Island FC are unbeaten in their last five league games from which they won four and drew once.

In the MLS, there was no Sanders Ngabo in the Philadelphia Union team which beat Nashville SC 3-0 at the Subaru Park on Sunday, July 21.

Sweden

Rafael York came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute as his side Gefle IF played a 2-2 draw with Trelleborg at the Gavlevallen Stadium in the Swedish Superattan League on Saturday, July 20.

In the same division, Lague Byiringiro replaced Mohammed Kouyate in the 79th minute but Yannick Mukunzi was an unused substitute as their side Sandviken IF lost 2-1 to Utsikten at the Arena Jernvallen.

There was no Torre Rafael in the Orebro Syrianska team which drew 1-1 with Hammarby Talang.

Norway

Clement Buhake Twizere was in the posts for U'll/Kisa who defeated Eidsvold 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller in match day 13 of the Norwegian third tier league.

Josias King Furaha did not make the match day squad of FK Jerv who beat Viking II 2-0.

Latvia

Centre back Dylan Maes played the entire match for FS Jelgava but he had a day to forget as he netted an own goal in the 21st minute as his side got humiliated 6-1 at the hands Riga at the Skonto Stadium.

Friendly

Samuel Gueulette was handed the captain armband as his side Raal La Louviere defeated FC Sender 3-0.

Amavubi skipper Djihad Bizimana was also in action for FC Kryvbas who drew 1-1 with United Arab Emirates club Al Bataeh in a preseason friendly at the Sportni Park Stojnci in Slovenia.

Hakim Sahabo was not in the Standard Liege team that held Norwich City to a 1-1 draw in a friendly game.
