LOCAL BETTING COMPANY, Forzza, has denied reports of a possible investment deal with Nigerian musician turned entrepreneur Mr Eazi.

The singer, who arrived in Kigali a fortnight ago, is on a business visit in Rwanda and has been exploring areas of investment and business opportunities in the country.

He was, according to Rwanda Development Board (RDB), particularly interested in Rwanda's creative, e-payments and gaming sectors, and a source last week told The New Times that Forzza Bet was among the singer’s targets for his investments in Rwanda.

However, Eric Didier Rutayisire, the betting company’s Managing Director denied the reports, claiming that the singer has no deal with the betting company.

"There is no deal between Mr Eazi and Forzza. Forzza is not for sale nor looking for some investment,” Rutayisire told The New Times on Monday, May 24, 2021.

After enjoying a great experience in the country, the Nigerian singer last week revealed his interest in building a luxury resort and wellness centre around Lake Kivu, one of the most vibrant tourism destinations in the country, notably in Rubavu District, Western Province.

His tour was supposed to end last weekend, but a meeting with RDB’s CEO Clare Akamanzi and her team left the singer convinced to extend his stay in the country for another week to further explore more opportunities.
