AS-Kigali 3-1 Rayon

AS-Kigali stunned Rayon Sport 3-1 in a friendly match played on Wednesday at Nyamirambo stadium.

Goals from Saidi Abedi, Pappy Gasana and Pablo Nduwimana were enough to sink the Blues. Rayon’s consolation came from Assuman Michele. After the game, AS-Kigali coach Eric Nshimiyimana said Abedi is only training with them.

"He is just training with us as he regains his fitness but he will not play for us in the league,” the Amavubi Stars assistant coach told Times Sport.

Rayon coach Raoul Shungu used mostly young and new players while resting most of his senior players.

But the players displayed a lacklustre performance that posed many question marks regarding their ability to cut it in the senior side.

Both teams were preparing themselves for tomorrow’s Amahoro Cup preliminary games. Rayon face Inter Force while AS-Kigali entertain Stella Maria on Saturday.
