Patriots Basketball Club will be hoping to finish the group stage games of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) unbeaten with a win over US Monastir on Saturday night.
The club's perfect start of the tournament will be tested as they face Tunisian giants US Monastir in their last game of Group A on Saturday, May 22 at the Kigali Arena.
Monastir is one of the clubs that have made a statement in the competition so far, winning their first two matches, including an emphatic 113-66 victory against Madagascar's GNBC.
With the two sides (Patriots and Monastir) already qualified for the last eight, they will be fighting for Group A top spot.
Patriots' Head Coach Alan Major recognised how strong Monastir is, but declared his team's ambition to finish at the top of Group A.
"We are going to face a team that can beat any team, but we are ready to give all we have. We want to finish our group stage unbeaten and it is possible."
Besides Patriots and US Monastir, teams that have already booked a berth in the quarterfinals of the tournament include Angola’s Petro de Luanda and As Sale from Morocco.
