Canal+ has announced special discounts and offers on subscription on its sports channels to help customers and the football community, in general, enjoy the forthcoming European Championships, branded as Euro 2020, which are slated from June 11 to July 11.

The offer starts with immediate effect from May 21 and will end on the day of Euro 2020 final which will take place on July 11.

This comes after the Pay TV Company announced that it will broadcast all the 51 games, opening and closing ceremonies inclusive, live and in high definition on Canal+ Sport 2 and Canal+ Sport 3.

The two channels are part of ‘Zamuka’ and ‘Zamuka na Siporo’ bouquets, respectively, which are dedicated to showing the best football games of Europe’s top five leagues including the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga, as well as the ongoing NBA and the Basketball Africa League which is underway in Kigali.

As the football world braces for Euro 2020, Canal+ is now offering the ‘Zamuka ’ bouquet at Rwf10,000 to ensure its customers access the incredible entertainment that the much-anticipated tournament delivers.

"Canal+ always broadcasts the best content in the world of sports and the upcoming Euro 2020 is no exception. Customers will be following the tournament with best coverage by best commentators like Patrick Mboma and Malick Traore and more. We made this offer to make sure they don’t miss out on this tournament,” said Sophie Tchatchoua, the Managing Director of Canal+ Rwanda during a media breakfast on Thursday, May 20.

Canal+ also made a special offer for people who are not subscribed yet, where they will be able to get a set of Canal+ box comprising a cable, decoder, remote and antenna at only Rwf5,000. The set would normally cost Rwf10,000.

"This is the first time we have made such a huge offer on decoder to make sure that every household could have access to the best content from Canal+ during the Euro 2020 campaign,” Tchatchoua added.

"This is the biggest discount in Africa to ensure that Rwandans have access to our products. We want to make sure that everybody in this time of Covid-19 stay safe watching the Euro 2020 with their families,” she noted.

Besides Euro 2020, Tchatchoua also revealed that Canal+ is currently the official sponsor and broadcaster of the BAL of the next three seasons, all of which will be held in Kigali after she described having the BAL in Kigali something that Canal+ could not miss but be part of the ambitions that NBA has on African basketball.
