IvoSajh pulls out of Amavubi coach race, raps Ferwafa The search to select the national team coach has taken another turn with one of the applicants IvoSajh Scheich pulling out of the race Times Sports can exclusively reveal.

In an e-mail message to his agent Angel Tomas and copied to Ferwafa, IvoSajh instructed his agent to immediately inform the Rwanda Football Federation that he has pulled out his candidature for position national coach of Rwanda even though they offer a monthly salary of Euro100.000.

In his statement of which he sent a copy to Times Sport, IvoSajh revealed that for Ferwafa to question his capability to coach Rwanda’s national team was uncalled for.
Recently Ferwafa confirmed that Ivosajh Scheich is not a contender for the post of Amavubi Stars’ head coach.

According to the federation’s CEO Jules Kalisa, the Slovenian was overlooked after failing to meet the post’s minimum requirement.

"Scheich is an experienced coach but that experience is limited to club level. In his profile, he has not dealt with a national team and yet one of Ferwafa’s minimum requirements for the job is vast experience with a national side,” Kalisa disclosed.

With the application deadline set for next week, over 20 coaches from Africa and Europe have already expressed their interest and Ferwafa believes that it will come up with a perfect man for the job before the end of October.

"As you know (referring to his agent), in the past I did not sign with national Associations reason being, I did not wish to work for monthly salary of USD 4.000” Ivosajh said. 

Ivosajh added "As a matter of fact, the reasons for my disqualification are mere speculations. I am proud of what I have done in football in the last 29 years as coach.”

"My opinion is also that they want to appoint a puppet and not a strong person who could help develop the game of football in their country,” the 54-year old former Technical Director of Indian FA said.

In March 1996 Ivosajh authored a Fifa approved technical teaching manual for technicians training youth teams as well as professional teams.

In 1994 he was the coach of Slovenia Premier League club FC Beltinci.
In 1998 he was a Technical Director (Head National Coach) of all Indian National Football Teams. 

Between 2000 and 2001, the former Rwandan team coach hopeful was the Director of coaching and Development of the Myanmar Football Federation and also National Coach of the national team.

During his work in Asia he prepared and guided coaching seminars about modern football for local coaches.

In the years 1995, 1999, 2003 and 2004 applied for the then vacant national team coaching positions of Sierra Leone, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, New Zealand, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Georgia, Guam, Tanzania and Slovenia and also in the clubs from Premier Leagues of Australia, Austria, China, Iran, England, Russia, Singapore, USA and Vietnam.

Rwanda is seeking a new national football’s team coach after the unsurprising sacking of German coach Michael Nees after the team’s failure to qualify for the 2008 Nations Cup finals in Ghana.

The Amavubi Stars finished third in their qualifying group, nine points behind Cameroon.
The federation decided not to renew Nees’ contract on the grounds that he had failed to perform in the year that he had been in charge of the national team.

Nees signed a one-year contract last September, and he guided Rwanda to third place at the 2006 Cecafa Challenge Cup in Ethiopia.

Rwanda qualified for the 2004 Africa Nations Cup finals in Tunisia, but missed out on the 2006 edition.
