GICUMBI — Mayor Bonane Nyangezi on Tuesday gave an outline to Byumba Sector residents at Gicumbi stadium of his recent study tour in China.

He called upon residents to embrace the culture of utilizing time to the maximum for the purposes of recording speedy development outcomes in all sectors.

‘The Chinese have no time to waste, which is why their country has recorded a high economic growth in the shortest time possible’, said Nyangezi. 

Prior to meeting all Byumba Sector residents, the Mayor  held a separate meeting with Village, Cell and Sector leaders, calling upon them to be at the forefront in leading residents to economic reform programmes. He cited laziness as the root cause for poverty and underdevelopment that characterized Rwanda in the past.

In his China tour the Mayor  was accompanied by district representatives of Agricultural and livestock farmers, a member of the District Advisory Council (DAC) and a representative of the District Private Sector Federation (PSF).He observed that the Chinese local cottage industries have fully embraced a culture of innovation which had enabled them to embark on manufacturing environmental  friendly products.

‘I have called upon members of the district Private Sector Federation to emulate China’s new technology of manufacturing environmental friendly household products to guarantee the safety of our environment’, added Nyangezi.
