As the country prepares to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the 1994 Tutsi genocide, a week of prayer has been organized at National University of Rwanda(NUR) to usher the university community into the commemoration period.
According to Murenzi Joel, the coordinator of Groupe Fratérnité de Révélation which is organizing this activity, the commemoration period needs a special preparation of people’s souls.
‘It is a difficult period when people remember the difficult moments they experienced during the 1994 Tutsi genocide’, he said, adding, ‘Many are bound to be traumatized during this period’.
The prayer week that started from Monday 30th runs until April 5th. It will concentrate on preaching healing, reconciliation and forgiveness.Speaking during the start of the prayer week last monday, Rev.
