Isharah Alliance is a gospel artiste and songwriter whose Christian background contributed to the growth of his singing career.

While in Sunday School at a tender age, singing gospel songs every Sunday was routine and this, he says, helped developed his passion for singing.

In 2019, Alliance launched his gospel music career and irrespective of the challenges, he says he doesn’t regret the path he took.

The 23-year-old has since released six songs, namely "Ubumuntu”, "Ineza”, "Ndishimye”, "Warakoze”, "Urufatiro”, and his latest, "Umutima Mwiza”, that was released on Tuesday.

The new song, he says, was inspired by his reflection on the goodness of God in his life.

In his new song, he describes God’s uniqueness and that He has done amazing things for him that his family and friends have never done. He also expresses how the love of God is unrivalled.

"I wrote this song when I was facing a tough time. There was a time when I was in a dark moment and I couldn’t lean on anyone for hope, but God came through for me, and His love was and still is sufficient for me,” he says.

According to the singer, it is God who turned his life around and in situations where he longs to speak to someone in compromising situations; he has learned to seek God in prayer and music.

Although he loved singing, he wasn’t confident enough to start releasing his solo songs, but his role model singers like Alexis Dusabe, Bosco Nshuti, Israel Mbonyi motivated him a lot.

He is also an instrumentalist who plays the guitar and piano; he was trained by one of his choir teachers after showing interest in learning. There is no doubt that the instruments have boosted his music.

Alliance is also part of the ADEPR Kigondo Parish choir, dubbed, "Urumuri”, where he sings soprano, alto, and tenor. The gospel vocalist also writes songs for choirs such as Yakini choir ADEPR Ruhango parish, Urumuri choir, and others, inspired by Bible scriptures, daily lives and his personal experience.

Through his music, the singer wants to depict the message of hope, hard work, encouragement, and salvation. All his songs are available on his YouTube channel that is in his name.

He, however, says that he is still struggling in his career as he is jobless, yet he needs to finance his studio sessions and shoot videos, a thing that is slowing his music down.

Alliance’s message to all parents is the scripture in Proverbs 22:6 that says, "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

He believes that parents and guardians are the ones responsible to light up children with a purpose so that when they grow, they can be proud of them when their light shines brighter.

"Whether it’s grooming talent, or teaching them discipline and the gospel, it should start at a young age,” Alliance says.
