Djuma Mafumba won gold after defeating Kimisagara’s Aboudu Rwalinda in the final of the open Sanshou Fighting Knockout.
In the Taolu competition, kid’s category, Kimisagara Hung-gar won the competition after securing 23 points out of the maximum 50.
Rubavu Shaolin Temple finished second with 17.5 points while Punch Lam de Rebero were third with 14.3 points.
In the women category, Kigombe Shaolin Temple and Musanze tied for top spot with 39.5 points each followed by Rubavu with 27.75 points.
In the senior men’s category, Kimisagara’s Mask of Peace won the category with 41 points followed by Kigombe Shaolin Temple and Musanze with 39.5 points each. Rafiki’s White Horse came third with 38.75 points.
Arstide Uwimpuhwe, a student of Apaper Primary School was the best player in the junior category, Albert Mukamanzi of Kigombe Shaolin Temple was the best performer in the women category while Gamariel Nikwigize from Muhanga Shaolin Tiger was the men’s overall player.
The tournament attracted 26 clubs from all corner of the country and cost the organizers an estimated Frw8 millions.
