Rwandan basketball powerhouse, APR, have added Malian star center Aliou Diarra to their ranks on a one-year deal.
Diarra, 22, joins the army side from Moroccan giants FUS Rabat for whom he featured in the 2024 season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL).
He also previously played for Stade Malien in his native country.
Diarra has been among standout performers during the past two BAL seasons courtesy of his qualities especially in defence.
In 2024, he was for the second time named on the All-BAL First Team and All-Defensive Team.
Diarra also plays international basketball with the Malian men's national team since his debut in 2023.
He could make his debut at new club APR when they play their next league game against Espoir on July 21.
APR are currently in second place in the league standings with 27 points, having won 13 games out of 14 played so far.
