MVK’s ladies’ football side as Kigali City recorded a memorable 6-0 thrashing of Rayon Sport ladies side in the National women football league played at Mumena stadium over the weekend.

Sonia Farida put in a lady of the match performance as she scored a hat-trick.

Chadia Uwimana (2) and skipper Saidi Nsengimana also contributed to Rayon’s demolition.

In another game played over the weekend Aspej thumped Butare’s Lioness de Fer 4-0 to take summit of the league standings with 12 points.

Marie Carie Umulisa stuck thrice while Nadia Uwineza completed the beating with a goal.

Military side, APR didn’t have to sweat for their points after getting a walk over after Gakenke pulled out of the league citing financial constraints as the reason for the withdrawal.

The army team lies second on the league table with 10 points and with a superior goal difference to that of AS Kigali who lie third also with 10 points.
