Bizimana retains NPC presidency

Dominique Bizimana was re-elected as the president of the National Paralympics Committee over the weekend during the committee general assembly that was held at the federation’s head offices at Amahoro stadium.

Dominique Bizimana was re-elected as the president of the National Paralympics Committee over the weekend during the committee general assembly that was held at the federation’s head offices at Amahoro stadium.

Bizimana who stood unopposed was recommended by committee members to lead the committee for another four year term. New comer Lucie Mutuyimana scooped the new vice president  in charge of marketing and communication seat.

Elie Manirarora was re-elected as the second vice president in charge of Games while Celestin Nzeyimana and Jean Dieu Ntarindwa retained their posts as secretary general and as treasurer respesctively.

Joseph Rangira and Father Kizito were named as NPC advisers while Jean Pierre Nkurayija and Dina Iriza were entrusted with the role of auditing the federation’s accounts. Speaking to Times Sport, Bizimana said that the elections were free and fair.

‘The elections went on smoothly, and we believe that the new team has the potential to achieve our goals and vision”.

Mean while the new committee resolved to meet this week and set dates for the sitting volley ball and sit ball competitions respectively.
