Dear editor, I am among the many people that are anxiously waiting for the construction of a Biomass power station as it was reported by The New Times recently.

It was reported that soon, the station will be started at the country’s giant brewery Bralirwa Plant in Rubavu District, Western Province.

We welcome such projects in our country because they promote development and demonstrate extreme reduction of energy crisis in the country.

Apart from power generation, the plant is anticipated to take a central role in environmental protection such as gas emission reduction and cleanness in some areas of the country.

It will also provide employment to people around the area.

Our prayer is that such projects do not stop on paper but be translated into action.
