Allow me space in your paper to lament the danger posed by fading zebra crossing lines in Butare town. I have on several occasions witnessed accidents on these pedestrian crossing points especially near the Banque de Kigali, Hotel Faucon and at the National University’s main gate.

Town authorities and Police seem not bothered by the situation. These crossing points should be repainted so as to make them visible to motorists.

Setting up of humps should be considered like is the case in other busy towns in the region. Local charities like Rotary should come to our rescue. Thank you.
