Rwanda international Emmanuel Imanishimwe has bid farewell to Moroccan giants AS FAR Rabat as he edges closer to signing for Cypriot outfit AEL Limassol.
Imanishimwe, 29, enjoyed three successful seasons with the Moroccan army side where he won the league title (2022/23) and the Moroccan Cup (2020/21).
He had one year left on his contract before AEL Limassol reportedly triggered his buyout clause to secure his services.

The former APR FC and Rayon Sports defender confirmed his exit from AS FAR with a farewell message to the club fraternity via his Instagram page on Tuesday, July 16.
"It has been three good years, we were fighting together in one spirit and one heart,” Imanishimwe’s post partly reads.
"Saying goodbye is sometimes so difficult, with all that we have been through along with everything; but it is also part of our journey that's why I want to say goodbye to the AS FAR family and thanking you all especially my teammates, the coaching staff and all the incredible fans who were with me since day one, I wish you success in the future,” the player added.
Imanishimwe played 93 games at AS FAR in all competitions and provided 6 assists. He has since gone on to establish himself among the best left backs not only in Morocco but also in Africa considering his commendable rise to the top of his game at club and country levels.
He previously played for APR FC and Rayon Sports in the Rwandan top tier League.
AEL Limassol, who finished 9th in the 2023/23 Cypriot top tier league, have won the top flight competition six times in their history.
