On Friday, March 12, Canal+ Rwanda, a subsidiary of Canal+ International – a visual and audio company - launched a promotion with an aim to help Rwandans access a variety of channels with quality visuals at an affordable price.
Sophie Tchatchoua, the head of Canal+ Rwanda, says clients can now afford access to different channels at Rwf15,000.
"We have committed to be closer to families and individuals with a promotion that helps them afford our decoder at Rwf10,000 and ‘Ikaze’ subscription that costs Rwf5,000 every month. We wish that the whole community watches attractive visuals on different channels through affordable Canal+ subscription,” she said.
‘Ikaze’ monthly subscription gives clients access to over 188 channels at just Rwf5,000.
The aim of the promotion is to scale up Canal+ subscription to all households after the company committed to slash prices to help families and individuals afford quality visuals and talk shows on different channels at lower prices.
The promotion, which is expected to close on March 31, will be rolled out in all districts across the country where Canal+ agents are set to distribute the decoders on time.
For more information about the promotion, clients can call on number 2200, the new line dedicated to Canal+ clients.
Canal+ established the new call centre to facilitate timely information and guidance to all Canal+ clients.
The new service call centre is to make sure that Rwandans get information from fellow Rwandans and prevent the norm of inquiring help from outside the country as part of the effort by the firm to provide customized services.
The clients can also get information through Canal+ agents countrywide.
Canal+ currently operates in over 75 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe.
Rwanda is so far the first African country with many local channels on Canal+, more than Côte d’Ivoire which ranks top on the continent with many subscribers.
