Every person has at one time or another felt God’s influence in their lives hence few people deny His existence. Think about it, when you woke up this morning did you have any idea you would make it to this hour? Only God knew because he knows and controls all things.

Man has gained some level of independence as his understanding and environment which are interdependent, continue to evolve. The mind evolves from learning and man has always learnt from his environment.
We acquire several skills as a result of trying to survive and create a more comfortable environment for ourselves. Of course this does not eliminate our dependence on God’s supreme power and control over our lives.
At the most frustrating moment a doctor will commit a patient’s life in God’s hands. This means that as humans we can only do our best and God will do the rest.
Man created vehicles and airplanes to facilitate movement but only God can stop accidents, he invented the weather forecast but only God can change the weather, he also created medicine but cannot stop death.
There are no known ways of increasing age-there are means of staying young and healthy but that is only by using properly what God has already put in place.
Are we getting deceived by great scientific discoveries and technological innovations into thinking that God no longer has a say in our lives.
Genesis 9: 25 describes that God created mankind to care for His creation, He had to be in full control of His faculties. God lets man make several innovations and inventions but He expects humility (Proverb 15:33).
I am a most grateful beneficiary of Technology but I think some of it like human cloning serves only to boost man’s ego by degrading God’s supremacy.
God has nothing against us understanding and using his products exhaustively but counterfeiting is an offensive crime with dire consequences.
The problem with man has always been crossing boundaries. There was only one forbidden tree in the whole of Eden and Adam was misled to eat from it thinking it would make him God’s equal but instead he lost everything (Genesis 3:22-24).
By vainly trying to take God’s position in our lives we bring destruction to ourselves. The wisest man that ever lived humbly concluded in Ecclesiastes 8:17 that man, however wise, cannot fathom God’s works.
