"I work with K.V.C.S street parking company and I operate around Kigali Business Centre,” Anastasie Musabyimana softly identifies herself and lets us know how she survives.

I wake up at 5a.m, prepare breakfast for my two children then head to work. I move on foot from Kimisagara to town.
By 6 40a.m I am already at work.

By 7a.m, I have started my work. This includes monitoring and instructing good parking, and issuing receipts to car owners. Work is very hard given the conditions of work, but I do it for a living and to cater for my two children.

I am not used to having breakfast, I only have lunch but not everyday. If I am to have lunch, instead I take a drink at mid day.

Work is at its heights between midday and late in the afternoon about 5a.m. I normally stop working at 6p.m.

By 7p.m am at home, preparing supper for my children. I also do some work, like washing clothes and taking care of my children.

8a.m I have supper with my children and go to bed latest by 9:30.
