Confederation Cup: AS Kigali seek away win against CS Sfaxien

CS Sfaxien vs AS Kigali (Stade Taïeb Mhiri, 4pm)

AS Kigali captain Tumaine ‘Titi’ Ntamuhanga will be hoping to make a winning start when the his side takes on CS Sfaxien in the first-leg encounter of the final round of the CAF Confederation Cup, in Tunis, on Saturday, February 13.

"Our mission is to win this game so that get us in a good position of eliminating CS Sfaxien. It won’t be easy because they are a strong team but we have to believe that we can defeat them,” Ntamuhanga said.

AS Kigali traveled with 20 players but without four players who include striker Fiston Nkezingabo, goalkeeper Chris Rugero, Abeddy Biramahire and center defender Hassan Karera.

AS Kigali advanced to the final round of the CAF Confederation Cup, after eliminating Orapa United from Botswana and KCCA of Uganda. 

CS Sfaxien have won the CAF Confederation three times.

The City of Kigali arrived in Tunis on Wednesday.

The last time AS Kigali got in the qualification round was in 2014 when they were eliminated by Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi of Morocco.

AS Kigali advanced to the final round of the CAF Confederation Cup, after eliminating Orapa United from Botswana and KCCA of Uganda, however they face a team that has won the CAF Confederation Cup three times.
