Covid-19: Rwanda records two more deaths, 155 cases

On Monday, February 1, two more people succumbed to Covid-19 in Rwanda. This raised the country's total number of coronavirus deaths to 198.

Meanwhile, 155 people tested positive for the virus on the same day. So far, Rwanda has confirmed 15,459 infections of Covid-19.

According to the Ministry of Health, of the new cases, 60 were confirmed in Kigali, 23 in Kirehe district, 10 in Rwamagana district, and seven in both Nyagatare and Nyamagabe districts.

Gakenke and Huye districts reported six new infections each, while Gisagara and Kamonyi districts reported five Covid-19 cases.

Gicumbi, Ngoma, Gatsibo and Karongi districts confirmed three infections each, whereas Musanze, Rusizi, Muhanga, Rubavu, Ruhango and Ngororero ditricts reported two positive cases of Covid-19 each.

Nyanza and Nyamasheke districts confirmed a single Covid-19 case each.

According to the Ministry of Health, on Monday, 185 people recovered from the virus. In total, 10, 272 people have recovered from Covid-19.

All results dated Monday were obtained from 3,888 sample tests that were collected in the last 24 hours.

As of Monday, according to the ministry, there were 18 Covid-19 patients in critical condition.

The country has so far conducted 890,156 Covid-19 tests.
