Genesis of her music career

As a young girl, Josine Gihozo loved music and often wrote (lyrics), without understanding what they meant.

However, it never crossed her mind that one day she will become a singer until recently when she started paying numerous visits to a nearby recording studio.

The 24-year-old explained that her visits to the studios were an opportunity to meet other artists and her current producer Kina Beat.

"One day he (Kina Beat) was working on a mixtape project with Prime Mazimpaka, another musical artiste and he asked me to include some vocals. Nervously, I sang for the first time and everybody who was there was amazed by my voice,” she said.

Some, she said she had already recorded some songs. According to her, this was a huge motivation for her to start taking her music career on another level.

This is how the producer Kina Beat and Mazimpaka introduced her to the music, two years ago.

A few days later, the singer went back to the studio to record the mixtape, which by then had no name, after being given an intro and some features by the producer Kina Beats and Mazimpaka.

Early last year, her plans were halted by the pandemic, although it inspired her first music project in which she featured dubbed ‘Quarantine Vibes.’

After the project, she went to Coffee Sound Music and recorded her first single called "I was wrong" with the video directed by Ell Kojo (The Video Producer from Coffee Sound Music), which launched her music career.
