Covid-19: Rwanda records 328 new cases, 246 from Kigali

Rwanda recorded 328 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, January 24.

Of these, 246 were detected from Kigali as the city continues to be a hot spot for new infections in the country.

Among other places from which positive cases were identified is Gatsibo with 13, Rulindo with 11, Kirehe with 9, Gakenke with 8, and Karongi with six.

Musanze also recorded six cases on the day, Nyagatare had five, Ruhango had five too, Rubavu had four, Huye reported three, Muhanga 3, Ngoma 3, Gicumbi 2, Kamonyi 1, Nyamasheke 1, Nyanza 1 and Rwamagana had one.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the country are now at 12,975.

Of these, 8,420 have recovered, while 4,381 are the active cases.

On Sunday, 2 Covid-19 relates deaths were reported by the Ministry of Health. This takes the total number of such deaths in the country to 174.
