Rwanda registered 204 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday January 23.
The number takes the total confirmed infections of the virus in the country to 12,647.
Saturday's cases were detected in Kigali and 12 upcountry districts.
Kigali had 72 new cases in the day, Ruhango had 62, Gicumbi had 18, Rwamagana had 10, and Kirehe had 10.
Karongi had 7, Kamonyi also had 7, Ngoma had 5, Nyagatare had 4, Nyamasheke had 3, Rubavu had 3, Nyamagabe has 2, and Gisagara had 1.
On the same day, seven deaths related to the virus were registered.
The Ministry of Health identified the deceased as 3 women of 89, 47, and 42 years of age in Kigali; and 3 men of 96, 59, 58 again from Kigali, and one 50-year old man from Gicumbi district.
Meanwhile, there were 135 recoveries from Covid-19 on Saturday, taking the total number of people that have recovered from the virus in the country to 8,319.
