"RDF and Soras have offered to sponsor our girls’ trip to Kenya and we are grateful,” the team’s manager Augustin Munyandamutsa said.
The army-side needs about Frw20m to take part in the event that merges Africa’s top volleyball clubs.
With hardly three days to the African showpiece, APR under the tutelage of their new coach Paul Bitok have stepped up training at Amahoro’s indoor stadium.
"Everything is taking shape. The team has been running periodic sessions at Amahoro indoor stadium and we believe that they will put up a fight in Nairobi,” a buoyant Munyandamutsa said.
The week-long tournament is also the biggest and most prestigious club volleyball event on the continent. At the end of the event, the winner will represent the continent in the Club World Cup in Japan.
Rwanda’s other representatives, Rwanda National University (UNR) are also eager to impress at the championship. Kenya Prisons are the defending champions.
