The national cycling team showed intent during stage four of the Absa Cape-Epic Mountain Bike Series, when they recorded improved performances.

Represented by two teams; A and B. Team Rwanda A includes Abraham Ruhumuriza and Nyandwi Uwase while team B has Jean de Dieu Rafiki and Tom Ritchey.

Abraham Ruhumuriza and Nyandwi Uwase moved from the 55th position to 41st with 5 hours, 33 minutes and 27 seconds, while Rafiki Uwimana and Tom Ritchey finished in the 87th position clocking 5 hours, 59 minutes and 19 seconds.

Meanwhile, Adrien Niyonshuti who represents MTN Rwanda jumped from 20th to 18th recording 5:4:15 while Nathan Byukusenge moved from 36th to 32nd after clocking 5:22:03.

German Karl Platt and Stefan Salum won stage four in a time of 4 hours, 32 minutes and 9 seconds.
