The National Paralympics committee is set to elect new office bearers on Sunday at the expiry of the current administration’s four year term. According to the committee’s secretary general, Celestin Nzeyimana, the polls will be held at Amahoro stadium starting at 10:00 am.

The vacancies that are up for grabs include that of the president, the 1st vice president in charge of marketing and communication, 2nd vice president in charge of competitions, the General Secretary, Treasurer and committee commissioners.
"After over four years in office, democracy will be exercised and change will be ushered in to continue the good work of the previous committee” Nzeyimana said.
"We believe that electing a new committee will strengthen our vision and goals. Various posts are up for grabs and we call upon the general public to vie for these posts” Nzeyimana told Times Sport.
Meanwhile the committee will organise the third round of seat ball and seating volley ball competition after the mourning period.
Intwari won the previous seatball competition held in Rusizi early this month while Huye are the seat volleyball champions.
