AS Kigali draw CS Sfaxien in CAF Confederation Cup

AS Kigali has been drawn against Tunisian CS Sfaxien in the next round of the Total CAF Confederations Cup.

The City of Kigali will play the first match away from home on February 14 while the second leg will take place 2 weeks later in Kigali.

The last time AS Kigali got in the qualification round was in 2014 when they were eliminated by Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi of Morocco.

CS Sfaxien have won the CAF Confederation three times.

AS Kigali progressed to the final round of the continental competition after defeating Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) on the away goals rule last week.

KCCA won the second leg 3-1 but AS Kigali's 2-0 win in the first leg which they got after their opponents failed to raise a quorum for the tie when nine players and a coach tested positive for coronavirus helped the team after striker Muhadjiri Hakizimana scored from the spot-kick.

AS Kigali advanced to the first round of the competition on the away goals rule after eliminating Orapa of Botswana.
