Major-General Mubarak Muganga is the new chairman of the 18-time league champions, APR FC.

Gen. Muganga replaces Maj. Gen. Jacques Musemakweli who had been in the position since 2013. 

Confirming the development at a press conference at the club’s headquarters in Kimihurura on Friday, January 8, Gen. Muganga said that he will handle the club’s management affairs in the upcoming season.

The army side also made other changes in its executive committee which saw Brig. Gen. Firmin Bayingana named Vice Chairman, Lt Col. Emmanuel Rutebuka will be treasurer while Michel Masabo, who served as the club’s team manager from 2003-2007 was named the new Secretary-General.

The club is expected to appoint a new team manager soon.
