Rwanda’s most elite athlete Disi Dieudonne is doing intensive training in Gicumbi district ahead of the lucrative Paris marathon slated for April 5.
Disi will use the event as part of his preparation for the world athletics championship later this year in Berlin Germany.
The 42 km race held annually will have over 35000 participants taking part including the world’s very best athletes.
Disi will leave for Paris next Tuesday aboard Sabena Airways, with plenty of confidence to impress in the US$1.5 million event.
"Competing against elite runners in last month’s Nigerian Glo-marathon gave me lots of confidence and will bank on that in Paris,”Disi told Times Sport.
