Independent parliamentary candidate Janvier Nsengiyumva continued campaigning on Monday, July 8, in Nyagatare and Gatsibo districts, promising to boost milk production there, if elected.

Speaking to the population from the two regions, which have a lot of dairy farmers, the parliamentary aspirant pledged to increase milk production if elected to the lower house.

He said: "This region has a lot of farms, and I think we will advocate for them to boost milk production by establishing small milk-processing plants that help improve the milk value chain in this area. That will, if implemented, benefit youth from this area to get jobs."
