Kenyan Premier League outfit Bandari have officially unveiled Rwandan tactician Andre Casa Mbungo as their new coach.
Unveiled on Monday, January 4, the experienced Rwandan comes in to replace Ken Odhiambo who left the role abruptly to join local rivals Sofapaka FC.
Speaking at his unveiling, Mbungo expressed delight he has for the new job, saying Bandari is a club any tactician would love to coach,
"It was an easy decision for me to join Bandari, they convinced me of their project," he said.
"Bandari showed they needed me more and that is why it was easy for me to consider them ahead of Gor Mahia. I had been in talks with Bandari for quite some time."
Bandari is the second Kenyan club Mbungo will be coaching after a short stint at AFC Leopards which he quit in December 2019 after going for months without pay.
After that, he worked briefly with Gasogi United before Rayon Sports convinced him to join them.
Mbungo will be assisted by Patrick Odhiambo, who formerly served as an interim coaching role at reigning Champions Gor Mahia after Brazilian coach Roberto Oliveira had left.
The first assignment for Mbungo will be to help them get out of the sixth position.
They are currently on eight points after two wins.
