The Rwanda Football Federation will use close to Rwf7 billion for different activities in 2021 according to the body’s chief Budget officer and Secretary-General, François-Régis Uwayezu.
Speaking to Times Sport on Sunday, after an Extraordinary Assembly of the body’s stakeholders, Regis Uwayezu said the budget will cater for building of infrastructure, competitions and salaries for Administrative staff among other things. estimates.
"We hope to use this money to develop football infrastructure and structures and implement other projects in line with our strategic plan.”
The largest portion of the money which is Rwf5 billion will go to development of football in the country while construction of football pitches will cost Rwf 1 billion. Rwf700m has been earmarked for organisation of football competitions in the country while 105 million is for marketing services.
Uwayezu said that the money will come from FIFA funds, CAF, Ministry of Sports, Ferwafa rehabilitation center, FIFA School program, Gate Collections during the competitions, Sponsorships from partners, clubs’ registration, broadcasting matches (RBA) and Federation’s gym.
