Andre Casa Mbungo has reached an agreement to become head coach of Kenyan Premier League side Bandari FC, Times Sport can confirm.
Without giving details, the 51-year tactician confirmed to this publication that an agreement has been reached.
He is expected to put pen to paper on Monday, January 4 on a two-year deal.
Casa Mbungo joins the Kenyan side following his surprise sacking by Gasogi United just three months after he signed for the club to coach it during the 2020-21 season.
He quit the club without coaching a single league game.
Bandari will, meanwhile, be the second Kenyan club Mbungo will be coaching after a short stint at AFC Leopards, which he quit in December 2019 as the club was struggling to pay his wages due to its financial crisis.
Mbungo will be assisted by Patrick Odhiambo, who is currently serving an interim coaching role at reigning Champions Gor Mahia after the exit of Brazilian coach Roberto Oliveira.
The former Rayon Sports coach recently returned to his home country after having problems with his coaching qualification papers.
Bandari are winless in their last four league games and sit sixth on the league table with five points after five match days. The club is keen to return to winning ways when they host western Stima on Sunday, January 3.
Mbungo is expected to coach his first game during the club’s visit to Tusker on January 16.
