Congolese goalkeeper Arnold Matumele has signed a two-year deal with newly promoted Rutsiro FC.
Matumele was the first choice goalkeeper at Gorilla FC during the 203/24 season. He left the club following the arrival of Gad Muhawenayo from Musanze FC.
He becomes Rutsiro FC’s first signing since they got promoted back to top flight football in June.
Matumele previously played for Dauphins Noirs and Maniema Union which are both from his native DR Congo.
Elsewhere, Brazilian forward Juan Baptista has commenced trials with APR FC. He could land a contract if he passed the trials.
The attacker, who arrived in the country from the South American country a week ago, started training with the rest of the APR FC squad on Monday, July 8 as he looks to impress Darko Novic.
