Algeria football team, Desert Foxes arrives this evening ahead of their scheduled World/Africa Cup qualifier against Rwanda’s Amavubi Stars this Saturday at Amahoro stadium.

Rwanda’s football body, Ferwafa Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa told Times Sport that Algeria lands at Kigali International Airport aboard a chartered plane at 18.00.

According to Kalisa, Algeria will reside at Novotel, Hotel, Kacyiru. The Desert Foxes will hold two hour afternoon training sessions on Thursday and Friday at Amahoro stadium before facing Rwanda on Saturday.

Considerable work has already been done by the Algerian Football Federation to ensure that the team has a comfortable stay in Kigali. The North Africans have already sent a delegation to prepare for their arrival.

Algeria has been boosted by the arrival of Racing de Strasbourg midfielder Yacine Bezzaz who joined the 24-man squad on Tuesday after taking part in his club Monday night French Ligue 2 match against Angers.

Team coach Rabah Saadane told goal.com recently that though the training time was short, he was confident that his players would be prepared.

"We’re going to Rwanda with a winner’s mentality. The lineup we’ll be using on the day of the match is already in our minds,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Amavubi team Coach Tucak Branko has been boosted by the arrival of the remaining batch of professional players.

Central defender Hamad Ndikumana (AC Omonio) and midfielder Jimmy Mulisa (Beveren) trained with the team on Monday evening while Boubakary Saddou who arrived on Monday night underwent light training session yesterday with the squad.

The trio join skipper Olivier Karekezi (Ham Kam) and Said Abedi Makasi who have been in the camp since last week.

Rwanda is drawn alongside Algeria, Egypt and Zambia in Group C of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers. Rwanda must win home matches against Algeria, Zambia and Egypt to be considered favorites of reaching Angola 2010 Africa Nations’ Cup finals.

While the first three places of each group will qualify to the 2010 African Cup of Nations in Angola, winners of each group will directly qualify to the same year’s World Cup in South Africa.
