Covid-19: Rwanda reports two more deaths, 109 cases

Rwanda on Monday, December 21, recorded two new Covid-19 deaths and 109 infections.

The deceased were a 39 year-old woman and a 58 year-old man.

This raised the country's Covid-19 death toll and total confirmed cases to 65 and 7,402 respectively. Of the total cases, 6,100 have already recovered.

According to the Ministry of Health, of the new Covid-19 cases, 56 were detected in Kigali, 12 in Ngororero district, 12 in Rubavu district, 8 in Nyabihu district , five in Muhanga district and two in Musanze district.

Meanwhile, both Huye and Rusizi districts reported four infections each, whereas Kamonyi and Gicumbi districts confirmed three new infections each.

The results were obtained from 4,229 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours. 694,450 tests have been taken so far.
