Finals Game 2

Police 34-27 APR

Police Handball Club on Saturday, July 6, beat APR 34-27 in Game 2 of the national handball league finals to tie the series 1-1.

The game, which took place at Kigali Pele Stadium’s handball court, was officiated by Zimbabwean referees.

Police forfeited Game 1 after coach Antoine Ntabanganyimana and his players walked off the court in protest of the referee’s decision to award a penalty to APR in what they termed as ‘cheating.’

While APR were handed a 20-0 win as a result of the forfeit, there were reports that Police would not show up for Game 2 until the last time when the team decided to play.
